Stuart, FL USA. Ocean Specialists, Inc. (OSI) is pleased to announce the addition of Perry Wright as Director of Integrated Subsea Systems. In his new role, Perry will expand OSI’s capability to support oil and gas and telecom customers in the development of undersea fiber optic networks worldwide. Perry will focus on further developing the challenging areas of in?field fiber connection system design and planning, including the development of subsea field networks.
Prior to joining OSI, Perry was employed at Ocean Design, Inc., where as Fiber Optic Technology Manager he was involved with Wet Mate Fiber Optic Connector and ancillary product design development and qualification as well as being involved with projects from specification through manufacturing, installation and commissioning. Prior to Ocean Design, Perry was employed at Kvaerner, where he specified and oversaw the development and qualification of the first commercially viable wet?mate fiber?optic connection system for their 2nd & 3rd generation Subsea Control Modules, making Kvaerner the first major subsea equipment supplier to offer a subsea control system with optical fiber communication.
