OSI Provides Local ER Staff with Meals “Fit for Heroes”

Amid the recent surge in COVID-19 cases in Florida, OSI recently donated meals to a shift of Emergency Room (ER) staff from three Cleveland Clinic ER facilities serving the Stuart, Florida area—where OSI is headquartered—in appreciation of their courage and dedication during these challenging times.

The region’s medical system and personnel have been severely tested by the unrelenting spread of the Delta variant, but these brave frontline workers continue to provide life-saving medical services to those most in need in the local community.

“Despite the personal risks and demands of this exhausting workload, with current COVID-19 admissions higher than at any other point during pandemic, our ER professionals find a way to carry on applying their essential expertise with resolve and determination,” said Jim Byous, OSI’s president. “The team at OSI wanted to show our appreciation to these brave men and women with the gift of a good meal, and hopefully a welcome break from their work.”

Some forty ER staff across the three ER facilities were invited to refuel on deliveries from The Gafford, a well-known establishment in downtown Stuart. Several of the staff remarked that it had been a long time since someone had done this for them, and were grateful to be appreciated for their work.
