OSI network develop Transatlantic cable system linking Angola Brazil

Angola and Brazil

Rich in natural resources, and with an aggressive strategy to invest in telecom infrastructure development, Angola has embarked on a plan to position the country as a central hub for Africa’s growing broadband needs. A critical link in that strategy is a transatlantic cable system, linking Angola and Brazil to provide much needed capacity in the Southern Hemisphere.

OSI has worked closely with Angola Cables, from the company’s inception, assisting the executive team in developing global network strategy, network funding, structure arrangements and partnering options for this critical network. OSI team members led design of the network architecture, technology assessments, and negotiations of all vendor and supplier agreements. Entering the implementation phase in mid 2014, OSI will manage network construction and installation aspects for the project through 2017.
